Meet Owen Weaver

Attorney Owen T. Weaver, a well accomplished municipal attorney, civil litigator, and a proven local leader, is seeking to become the Republican candidate for Connecticut’s 14th State Senate District. Owen will bring his legal experience, local roots, and record of civic involvement to the Connecticut General Assembly.

Affordability, Local Control, Common Sense Solutions

Owen Weaver is a native of Orange, Connecticut, and currently serves as Town Attorney for Orange. As a partner at Zabel Schellenberg, PLLC, he represents municipalities, businesses, and individuals statewide in municipal law, civil litigation, tax appeals, and related matters.

With deep ties to the 14th Senate District, Owen has dedicated his career to solving real-world challenges for local governments, residents, and taxpayers.

He is a board member of the Connecticut Association of Municipal Attorneys (including Executive Board service), the Amity Chamber of Commerce, and the Orange Economic Development Corporation. As President of Amity Youth Lacrosse, Inc., he coaches and mentors young athletes, building on his own experience as a member and co-captain of Amity High School’s inaugural varsity lacrosse team.

Owen and his wife returned to Orange in 2021 to raise their three sons in the community where he was born and raised. His oldest son’s advocacy for Type 1 diabetes research before Congress deepened Owen’s resolve to ensure government serves and listens to its people.

Running for the Connecticut State Senate, Owen aims to champion common-sense solutions: making the state more affordable through tax cuts and property tax relief, restoring local control over zoning to protect communities from overdevelopment, supporting small businesses by cutting unnecessary regulations, lowering energy costs, and advocating for families facing health, education, and youth challenges.
